Highland Games are events held as a way of celebrating Scottish and Celtic culture, especially that of the Scottish Highlands. Certain aspects of the games are so well known as to have become emblematic of Scotland and Ireland, such as the bagpipes, the kilt, and the heavy events.  The entertainment that fills the air for two full days, gives the event it's joy and true celtic ambience. There is entertainment for all age groups, including a great Kids Zone and celtic crafts and sheep herding demonstrations.

For 2019, the festival is proud to feature…

  • Two stages of celtic traditional and celtic rock music.

  • Three bagpipe and drum bands who will roam the grounds and participate in a mass band gathering.

  • A dance stage featuring both Scottish and Irish dancers.

  • A solo bagpipe competition, open for all to watch.

Robert Valentine, Master of Ceremonies

Bob is a popular “compere” (master of ceremonies) at Scottish heritage events across America.  His stock of stories and ready wit are as suited for a drumming session (WhiskyTasting) as for the entertainment stage or the comedy club.  A veteran of stage and film, he is the author of five books, and has a comic CD titled, “I’ll Tak the Lo Road.” When not “working the Games,” he is a lecturer in Mass Communication at Murray State University in Kentucky.
